The helpline is designed for members of the university community to raise questions or concerns about ethics and compliance related matters at Temple University. However, users may contact the helpline for any reason. Where appropriate, the Ethics and Compliance Office may direct an inquiry to other university offices for handling.
EthicsPoint is a third-party, confidential reporting system that is available 24/7. It was established to receive questions, concerns or reports of suspected misconduct—all without fear of retaliation. The EthicsPoint system allows for confidential or even anonymous dialogue with the Ethics and Compliance Office. Users receive a report key and password enabling them to follow on any report, provide any additional information or ask follow-up questions.
All members of the Temple community are responsible for ensuring we uphold the highest standards of integrity. By letting us know when you see something wrong, or when you have a question, you do your part in ensuring we maintain the highest standards of integrity. Working together, we can ensure an ethical and productive environment.
Contact the helpline. We’d rather you speak up and report a situation than let possible misconduct go unchecked because you weren’t sure. Anyone who contacts the helpline in good faith is welcome. We understand situations are not always simple or clear. The Ethics and Compliance Office is here to help you navigate these situations.
Helpline reports are entered directly on the EthicsPoint secure server. The reports are available only to specific individuals within the university who are charged with evaluating the reports based on the type of question or issue and location of the incident. Each of these report recipients is trained to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
