Bachelor of Science in Data Science

Learn how to analyze, manage and track big data with the Bachelor of Science in Data Science at Temple University’s College of Science and Technology. Data scientists work to draw insights from large quantities of both structured and unstructured data. Students in the Data Science program will be entering a high-demand field. The need for trained data scientists is expected to grow 28 percent by 2020, according to Forbes. Companies across industries are recognizing a soaring need for professionals who have both sophisticated analytic and statistics skills, and the softer communication skills to be able to present their findings.

Data Science Majors at Temple will gain a specialized education in the field by choosing one of three concentrations and then following a tailored curriculum over the course of four years.

Specialization means that graduates with a degree in Data Science are well prepared for math, medical and science career opportunities that seek niche skills. Major requirements and credit hours will vary with concentrations.
