Academic Advising and Degree Auditing

Your school or college advising office can help you choose classes and complete requirements for core classes. Once you have declared a major, faculty or staff advisors in your academic department will work with you to ensure that all major requirements have been met. 

Academic Support

If you need support, Temple has the academic resources you need to help you meet your goals, from general degree guidance to one-on-one tutoring in math and writing.

  • Academic Resource Center: Advising for Continuing Studies (non-degree) students, University Studies (undeclared) students and students in transition
  • Continuing Studies: Resources for visiting students, professionals, adult learners and others
  • Disability Resources and Services: Placement testing and academic accommodations, including test-taking, sign language/CART, assistive technology and more
  • Undergraduate Studies: Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies, the administrative unit responsible for undergraduate programs and academic affairs
  • University Studies: The academic home for students who have not yet decided on a school/college or major, students in pre-health professions programs and students in transition within the university
  • Student Success Center: Academic support services and tutoring designed to help students succeed in their coursework and beyond
  • Writing Center: One-on-one tutoring across curricula to assist undergraduate and graduate students with their writing goals

Honors

  • Honors Program: Temple's Honors Program, dedicated to providing high-achieving students with enriching opportunities and holistic advising in an inclusive community
