Prior work in statistics is not a requirement for admission to this program. Applicants must have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.8 overall and 3.2 in mathematical courses.
Submit official transcripts from every college and university you have attended. Request a transcript from Temple University.
Two letters of recommendation are required. Professional references from an immediate supervisor, current or past, are preferred. Academic references are acceptable.
A baccalaureate degree is required, though it need not be in a business discipline. Students must have taken two semesters of university-level Calculus or its equivalent. A course in Linear Algebra is also desirable.
Submit a statement of goals.
GRE or GMAT scores are required for admission. Quantitative and verbal scores on the GRE should be in the 50th percentile or above. Scores under 500 on the GMAT are not considered for the Statistics MS.
A current résumé is required.
A personal interview is not required but is highly recommended.
For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL exam is required. The minimum score is 88 iBT or 575 PBT, and the typical range is 590 to 660.
A score above 610 may be used to offset a marginal score on the verbal component of the GRE.
