Research & Facilities

School Psychology PhD students have multiple opportunities to work with faculty on research studies. Faculty researchers are funded by high-profile organizations like the Gates Foundation, the Fogarty International Center of the National Institute of Health, the Institute of Education Sciences and the Society for the Study of School Psychology. Faculty members serve as assistant editors and on editorial boards of publications such as the School Psychology Review and the Journal of School Psychology. In addition faculty maintain high-level positions in prominent organizations such as Division 16 (School Psychology Division) of the American Psychological Association.

Labs & Clinics

The school psychology faculty have active research labs, such as the SEAD Research Group, and are leaders in assessment research within larger university centers, such as the Center for Assessment and Evaluation.

Doctoral students are closely involved with Temple University’s Psychoeducational Clinic, which provides comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for adolescents, children and young adults who are experiencing academic difficulties. Such difficulties may be related to behavioral, emotional or social problems; learning disabilities; or neurological impairment.
