Departmental Research

The Health Professions Major is offered by the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in Temple's College of Public Health. Students interested in gaining research experience are encouraged to discuss potential opportunities with faculty researchers and take part in the research being conducted in the many labs offered within the Department.

The College of Public Health contains several research centers, labs and programs associated with public health disciplines. Labs and areas of faculty research focus for the Health Professions Major include the following.

Research in Temple’s College of Public Health

The College of Public Health is one of the most research-active colleges at Temple University. Research at the college is multidisciplinary and spans both discovery and translation.

Temple is an R1 institution of “highest research activity” as designated by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, placing it in the top 4% of all four-year educational institutions in the nation.
