Online Program Option
The Online MPH in Social and Behavioral Sciences in the College of Public Health is perfect for working professionals and students returning to the classroom while balancing work and family. Classes are taught by the same expert faculty and follow the same curriculum as our on-campus program option. Cutting-edge instructional technology emphasizes natural interaction with professors and other students, and gives you access to personalized instruction and advising.
Our faculty’s strong ties to the community bring real-world issues and agencies into the virtual classroom. Online students also have access to Temple’s libraries, writing center, career center and other resources.
The MSW-MPH dual degree option allows eligible students to combine their public health education with training in social work practice and research. This widens your career options and expands your networks. The dual degree can be completed entirely online.
Structure and Delivery
You can complete the Online MPH on a part-time basis in three years. Online courses incorporate three forms of learning.
- Live online class meetings facilitate discussions for Temple’s outstanding faculty and students.
- Online learning activities supplement class meetings while fitting into students' busy lives, providing opportunities for reinforcement and enrichment.
- A local fieldwork experience combines student interests with public health needs. It is guided and supervised by Temple faculty.
Temple University is able to offer this online program through its participation in SARA (State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement). Contact our online program coordinator with questions or concerns related to out-of-state enrollment or field placement.
