Admissions

How to Apply: Transfer Students

Transfer students may apply using the Common Application. Be sure to review important information about application supporting materials below.

Fee: $55 (Fee waivers are available for students who qualify.)

The following materials are what we consider when reviewing students for admission.

Transcripts

An official college transcript is required from all institutions at which you have attempted coursework. All official college transcripts should be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admission, either through an electronic transcript service or by mail.

Students can meet with a member of the Academic and Student Services team to learn more about the program and plan a preliminary path to graduation. After applying, students will be provided with an official transfer credit evaluation. Temple’s Transfer Equivalency Tool is a helpful resource for planning prior to admission.

Life, Work and Volunteer Experiences

When you apply through the Common Application, please complete the essay section to tell us more about yourself and why you are applying to complete your undergraduate degree. Describe your work and life experiences or tell us something that is not evident from your application or transcripts. This will help paint the full picture of who you are and can factor into the review process.

Optional Letter of Recommendation

Although not required for transfer students, we accept letters of recommendation. Your letters should be submitted by individuals who can speak to your academic abilities and personal accomplishments, such as an advisor or professor.
