Your Path to CFA Charterholder

The chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation, offered by the independent CFA Institute, is among the highest distinctions in the investment management profession.

Students interested in the Master of Science in Financial and Quantitative Analysis program have the optional opportunity to simultaneously pursue the CFA designation as an added benefit of our innovative program design. The Master of Science in Financial and Quantitative Analysis is a CFA University Affiliated Program that accounts for the CFA Level I, II and III Candidate Body of Knowledge in its distinctive curriculum.

To support students who choose to pursue the CFA, the program offers classes that end prior to exam dates for concentrated study time and Kaplan prep materials included in the cost of tuition. This innovative design supports sitting for CFA Levels I, II, and III during your graduate studies. Classes & Curriculum

An innovative 36-credit curriculum structure featuring one- to 1.5-credit classes offers the opportunity to sit for multiple CFA exams during your program. This full-time program provides dual expertise with a complete curriculum spanning corporate finance to advanced mathematical modeling. Students develop advanced technical skills including Python, SQL, numerical methods, volatility modeling and AI applications.

Courses take place in person at Temple’s Main Campus. The program's strategic location in Philadelphia provides students with direct access to Northeast Corridor markets from Wall Street to Washington, D.C., offering connections to leading organizations.

Tuition rates are set annually by the university and are affected by multiple factors, including program degree level (undergraduate or graduate), course load (full- or part-time), in-state or out-of-state residency, and more. These tuition costs apply to the 2025–2026 academic year.
