Temple University’s Japan campus got word last week: Its more than 350 classes had to move online by Monday, a precautionary step taken to reduce the spread of coronavirus in that country.

Temple trusted its hot hand with the game on the line in overtime against UConn.

Joy Valderrama Abbott, a Temple alum and benefactor, is known as the “Shirley Temple of Hawaii,” where she grew up. She had been set to appear at a Temple concert on March 14 and 15 but passed away on Feb. 8, at age 88.
