Admissions Requirements

Oral Health Sciences MS applicants must hold either a bachelor of dental surgery, doctor of dental surgery or doctor of dental medicine, or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

How To Apply

All applicants will apply using the online application. Applicants not affiliated with one of the Kornberg School of Dentistry's advanced training certificate programs should submit their materials through the Allied Health Centralized Application System (AHCAS).

Transcripts

Official transcripts from all previously attended undergraduate and graduate programs are required.

Letters of Recommendation

Submit three letters of recommendation from faculty members who are familiar with your academic background and potential for graduate-level study. These may include faculty who knew the applicant in dental school or wherever the applicant’s highest level of degree was attained.

Statement of Goals

In approximately 500 to 1,000 words, address your academic and research achievements to date; overall career goals; specific interest in Temple University's Oral Health Sciences graduate program; and topic of proposed research interests. Include what, specifically, about Temple
University and this program attracts you.

Additional Requirements for International Applicants

For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE scores are required. The minimum scores are as follows.

  • TOEFL iBT: 100
  • IELTS Academic: 7.0
  • PTE Academic: 68​

Application Deadlines

The Oral Health Sciences MS application opens in AHCAS on September 15. Completed applications must be received by March 1. Applications are processed as they are received.
