Contact the faculty member in your area of interest prior to submitting an application. See a list of core Earth and Environmental Science Department faculty.
Your transcript should show geology courses to prepare you for advanced level graduate classes and instructing undergraduates. You should also have at least one year of college-level chemistry, calculus and either physics or biology.
Unofficial transcripts are considered at the time of applying. Official transcripts are required when accepting the offer at the time of deposit. Official transcripts can be sent to [click-for-email].
Submit three letters of recommendation from chemistry faculty and/or industry professionals.
Submit a statement of 500 to 1,000 words in length that describes your previous academic and research achievements; research and future career goals; and specific interest in Temple’s program.
Submit a current version of your résumé.
For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL is required. The minimum score for the TOEFL is 85 iBT or 620 PBT.

For full consideration, applications must be submitted by the deadline. Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Applicants should target Fall entry as Spring admission is rare.
