PSM Apply

How to Apply

To apply, submit Temple’s online graduate application.

Prerequisites

Applicants should have a strong STEM background as well as a baccalaureate degree in a science or engineering field. The following coursework is also required.

  • A course in data structures, such as Temple’s CIS 2168
  • A course in computer architecture, operating systems and networking, such as Temple’s CIS 2229
Transcripts

Official transcripts from every college and university you have attended are required.

Recommendations

Submit two reference letters from college or university faculty, preferably those in laboratory science areas, who are familiar with your academic and research abilities.

Goals Statement

Your statement should be 500 to 1,000 words in length and include your specific interest in the program, as well as your career goals and academic and professional achievements.

Standardized Test Scores

GRE scores are optional.

Résumé

A current résumé is required.

Interview

An in-person or video interview is required.

Additional Requirements for International Applicants

Applicants who earned their baccalaureate degree from an institution where the language of instruction was other than English, with the exception of those who subsequently earned a master’s degree at a U.S. institution, must report scores for a standardized test of English that meet these minimums.

  • PTE Academic: 58
  • Duolingo: 110
