James is the chief audit executive for Temple University. He brings an integrity-first, people-centered, and mission-forward audit approach developed throughout a career that has included experience in public accounting, for-profit energy generation, not-for-profit healthcare, as well as public and private universities.

James earned his Master of Accounting degree from the University of South Carolina after receiving a full fellowship. He has served on not-for-profit boards and is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, and Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional.
