Before applying, you should have completed these prerequisites.
If you lack any of these courses, you must complete them at either Temple or another accredited institution before applying.
Submit three letters of recommendation from Computer Science faculty and professionals.
Your statement should be about 500 to 1,000 words in length. Include your specific interest in Temple’s program as well as your research and future career goals and your previous academic and research achievements.
Submit a current version of your résumé.
If you do not have a strong background in computer science, begin exploring by taking an introductory course in programming in Java, which is required for all CIS degrees. You can take this course at Temple (Program Design and Abstraction) or any other accredited college or university. Consult the department about what additional prerequisites you might need.
