Additional Requirements for International Students

For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL is required with a minimum score of 79 on the iBT. These scores should be sent officially to SOPHAS using the SOPHAS-specific TOEFL code of 5688.

A WES evaluation is required for applicants who completed their degree outside of the United States. This can be requested and submitted through SOPHAS.

State Authorization Information

Temple University is a participant in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) developed by the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). As such, Temple University is permitted to engage in all activities covered by SARA in states that are members of SARA. Temple University is committed to ensuring that it follows the laws and regulations of any state or territory in which it may operate, and will take whatever steps necessary to gain approval from regulators if it engages in activities not covered by SARA.

Upon successful completion of the Post Professional Athletic Training degree, students will be able to complete the following.

  • SLO 1: Search and appraise current athletic training literature to enhance patient outcomes.
  • SLO 2: Explain and justify evidence-based decision-making and its practical applications.
  • SLO 3: Devise a plan to highlight leadership and professionalism skills in clinical practice.
  • SLO 4: Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • SLO 5: Distinguish the role of athletic training in a public health model.
