Temple University and the City of Philadelphia are vibrant and alive with a sense of community.  The following links offer insight into the University and beyond:

 

Main Campus

Temple University’s Main Campus is located in the heart of Philadelphia.  The sprawling 115-acre campus is just two miles north of bustling Center City, which is the city’s financial, cultural, historical, and retail hub.  With a population of more than 1.5 million, Philadelphia is the second largest city on the East Coast and ranks fifth in the nation.  The City of Brotherly Love is located 100 miles south of New York City, 130 miles north of Washington, D.C., and 60 miles from the Jersey shore.

Academically, Main Campus is the central administrative site of the University.  It houses 10 schools and colleges, including:

Main Campus can be reached easily by public transportation using the “C” bus on Broad Street, the Broad Street Subway (Cecil B. Moore Avenue stop), Amtrak at North Broad Street Station, and the SEPTA Commuter Rail Lines at 10th and Berks Streets.  For a campus map or directions, click on the university building .

 

Graduate Student Housing

Inquiries about the housing needs of graduate students are managed by the Office of University Housing and Residential Life.  Learn about the graduate housing selection process or review the Temple University Graduate Living guidebook. Public Transportation

 

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) provides bus, subway, and commuter rail service throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.  Visit www.septa.com for schedules and fares.
