GRANTS AND LOANS
Federal Stafford Loans
Loans are available to students enrolled for at least five credit
hours per semester. The government will pay the interest on subsidized loans
until six months after the borrower has terminated his or her studies. Applications and
further information are available at your local bank, credit union, lending institution.
Important: In your interest we urge you to use discretion in
borrowing money for school. Your loans should not exceed your projected educational costs.
Federal Work Study Program
The Federal Work Study Program at Temple is designed to stimulate
and promote the part-time employment of students who have demonstrated financial need and
who require the wages from employment to pursue their studies. Students in the Work Study
Program are employed by the University or by other public or private, nonprofit
institutions, organizations, or agencies. The Financial Aid Office will make reasonable
efforts to assist with placing students in jobs related to their vocational objectives.
Employment under the Federal Work Study Program is awarded as part of the financial
aid package.
