Student Activities Student Activities Center
(215) 204-7131 The Student Activities Center is the "center for the campus community," and as such, is an integral part of Temple University's educational environment. Managed by the Student Activities staff, the Student Activities Center is a building, an organization, and a program. It provides services, facilities, and educational and recreational activities that enhance the quality of college life. Ground Floor. The University Bookstore, World Travel, a post office, The Office of Parking Services, and the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union are located here. There is also a MAC machine and a SEPTA Regional Rail Ticket machine. First Floor. The Student Assistance Center is housed on this floor, along with a game room and television lounge. The food court offers different eateries, while the Philly connection in Crossroads is also a great place for breakfast and lunch. A movie theater offering three shows a day, seven days a week also is available. Second Floor. The Student Government and Program Board offices are located here, as well as student organization offices. Third Floor. The Office of Student Activities is in room 321. There are also meeting rooms, lounge spaces, and the offices for student publications, as well as the Graphics Media Center. Fourth Floor. The Office of the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students and the Office of University Housing are on this floor. In addition, the Templar Yearbook is here. (for the Student Activities Center and Mitten Hall) Program Development Student Activities Center, room 321 (215) 204-7131 An integral part of a student's education takes place outside of the classroom. It is this experience that the Office of Student Activities develops through programs and services designed to meet and challenge the needs of a diverse student population. The Office of Student Activities has overall responsibility for programs, services, scheduling, and operations of campus-wide programming, student organizations, the Student Activities Center, and scheduling of Mitten Hall. Sciences Center Office of Student Activities Student Faculty Center (215) 707-4017 A department of Student Affairs, the Office of Student Activities at the Health Sciences Center is responsible for providing a variety of co-curricular programs for faculty, students, and staff. This Office coordinates social, educational, and physical leisure pursuits. It operates both the physical and service functions of the Student Faculty Center. University workshops, classes, socials, intramurals, and special events are run from this office. Disability Resources

DRS assists students with disabilities in accessing programs, services, and facilities at the University through coordinated efforts of many departments. As a department within the Division of Student Affairs, DRS offers, upon request, disability related resource information and services for students with disabilities. Bookstore Student Activities Center (215) 204-7385 The Temple University Bookstore, on the ground floor of the Student Activities Center, sells new and used textbooks, classroom supplies, trade books (both paperback and cloth editions), class rings, and a large selection of general merchandise, including clothing, jewelry, and gifts. Bookstore Tyler Bookstore TUCC Bookstore Student Educational Rights and Privacy Act The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 provides the following rights for students attending Temple University: a) The right of a student, with minor limitations, to inspect and review his or her education records. b) The right, with certain exceptions, to prevent disclosure to third parties of information from his or her education records. c) The right to withhold public disclosure of any or all items of so-called "Directory Information" by written notification to the Office of the Dean of Students. Under current University policy, the term "Directory Information" includes a student's name, confirmation of enrollment, date of enrollment, degree earned (if applicable), and major course of study. d) The right to seek the amendment of the content of a student's records on the grounds that the records are inaccurate, misleading, or in violation of the student's privacy or other rights. e) The right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning any alleged failure of Temple University to comply with the requirements of the Act and of the implementation of Department of Education regulations. The procedures for exercising the above rights are explained more fully in the "Temple University Guidelines Pertaining to Confidentiality of Student Records," copies of which are available in the Office of the Dean of Students. Included as an addition to the Guidelines is a list of the types and locations of educational records maintained by the University, with the titles and addresses of the officials responsible for those records.
