Temple University Fort Washington On-Site Services and Facilities Advising Matriculated students are advised by their graduate adviser in their own department. The Richard J. Fox School of Business and Management and the School of Pharmacy establish regular advising schedules each semester at Temple University Fort Washington. Other departments are available by appointment. Bookstore The Barnes and Noble Bookstore at Temple University Ambler stocks the required texts for courses scheduled at Temple University Fort Washington. Textbooks and supplies are sold at Temple University Fort Washington during the first week of each semester. Computer Facilities PC Lab Two PC labs are available at Temple University Fort Washington. One lab consists of 30 IBM PC-compatible Gateway 2000 P2-233 computers. The other lab contains 20 Gateway 2000 P2-300 computers, HP color inkjet printers, one HP scanner, and HP LaserJet printers. Windows 95, Windows NT, and MS Office 97 are available, as well as a variety of other software applications. The PC lab is available, for classroom instruction and courses offered at TUFW. Macintosh Lab The Macintosh lab at Temple University Fort Washington consists of 20 Apple Macintosh 9600 computers with 17" AV monitors, three HP color inkjet printers, one HP scanner, and one HP LaserJet printer. The Mac lab is available for classroom instruction for the graduate programs and courses offered at TUFW. Word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphic, and statistical software are available. University Fort Washington provides convenient meeting facilities for
surrounding businesses and organizations. Its computer labs feature software
and hardware programs that are rated among the best in the metropolitan
region. Meeting space includes conference-style classrooms of various
sizes, computer labs, and a seminar room, all of which are equipped with
the latest audio-visual equipment. Catering is provided by Marriott Corporation.

Special Programs (215) 283-1304 Every semester, the special programs office offers more than 100 non-credit and special programs including courses in professional development and personal enrichment, as well as programs for students returning to school. Those of particular interest to graduate or prospective students include: Professional Skills - public speaking - computer training - leadership training Preparatory Workshops - Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) - Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) - Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) In addition, the Special Services Office offers the services of Temple University Ambler/Fort Washington to area businesses, government agencies, and community organizations. It provides information on current courses and programs (both undergraduate and graduate), as well as information on the expertise within the University’s academic community. Temple University Center for Advanced Technology 425 Commerce Drive Temple University Center for Advanced Technology (TU CAT), located in Fort Washington, PA, is a brand new, state-of-the-art computer-training center. Designed to meet the needs of area businesses for skilled information technology (IT) professionals, TU CAT offers short-term, non-credit training programs to prepare individuals for careers in IT and enhance the skills of professionals currently working in the field. Some of the programs TU CAT offers include Microsoft Windows NT, Lotus Domino/Notes, Programming, and Internet courses. A complete corporate training center, TU CAT offers four high-tech labs with Pentium III 450 MHz processors, 100Mb/s Ethernet network and fully integrated Internet access to each desktop. The center also includes a 60-seat seminar room, 10-seat conference room, testing center, resource center, large café-vending area, and spacious lobby. TUCC Facilities The TUCC campus occupies 10 floors at 1616 Walnut Street, minutes away from City Hall and most of Philadelphia’s business and entertainment resources. The campus includes the TUCC Director’s Office on the first floor, a bookstore, a conference center, the Institute for Continuing Studies, The Business Agenda, Extension Services, the Real Estate Institute, the Temple Association for Retired Professionals (TARP), the Library Resource and Computer Center, and TUCC’s Media Services Center.
