Parking As a service to its students, TUCC has negotiated parking discounts at several nearby garages. TUCC has no affiliation with these garages nor any role in the making of their policies. In order to get the discount, students must have their parking ticket stamped and show proof of Temple affiliation if asked. The parking stamp and a detailed list of participating garages are available at the first floor reception desk. Lounges Conveniently located on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors, the student lounges provide a place to rest or study. Interoffice phones are available to make calls to Temple offices. Vending and Change Machines For light snacks or beverages, visit the vending machines located on the fifth floor. Change machines are also available in the same area. Copy Machines Copy machines are available on the 4th and 5th floors. TTY Located on the first floor in the Director’s Office, the TTY machine 215-204-1900 is available for staff and student use. ID/Access Card An official Temple University ID (access card) is available to all faculty, staff, and students with current semester confirmation. ID photos are taken on the first floor. Call the Director’s Office at 215-204-TUCC for information and hours. Academic Programs at TUCC Most of Temple University’s schools and colleges offer credit courses at TUCC. It is possible to take one or a few courses without formally applying for admission to the University. For students who wish to apply and enroll in a degree program, it is possible to complete certain full degree programs at TUCC. These include: undergraduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, English, and History, and graduate degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, General and Strategic Management, History, Human Resource Administration, International Business, Journalism, Law, Liberal Arts, Management Science/Operations Management, Marketing, Real Estate, and Risk Management and Insurance. Student Services at TUCC Credit Academic Advising and Registration Thinking about starting college or returning to finish a degree started years ago? TUCC’s Advising Coordinator, Denise Berardi, provides the necessary information and support. Her office hours are conveniently scheduled into the evening so that appointments are available during the day, on the lunch hour, or after work. Denise also can discuss transfer options and career-related topics. She is a great listener with years of experience and lots of good advice. Students who have been formally accepted into a degree program are considered "matriculated" and should be advised by a representative of their school or college. Students in the College of Liberal Arts can call a TUCC adviser at 215-204-1509 for an appointment. Students in the Richard J. Fox School of Business and Management (SBM) can call the Undergraduate SBM Adviser at 215-204-7672 or the Graduate SBM Adviser at 215-204-7678. These phone numbers are connected to offices on the Main Campus, so make sure to specify that you want an appointment at TUCC. Bookstore The bookstore is located on the lower level of 1616 Walnut Street. Visit the bookstore and get textbooks, magazines, pens and pencils, Temple shirts and hats, and light snacks, and soft drinks all in one place. Please call her at 215-204-4358 for an appointment. The MBA office also offers career placement services for currently enrolled MBA students and alumni. Please contact the Assistant Director of the MBA program at 215-204-7678 for more information about this service. Cash Operations Office TUCC’s Cash Operations representative is available to process payments for tuition and various fees including transcript requests and graduation. The representative will gladly update your validation stickers each semester once you are confirmed. Payment can be made by check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and MAC. Library Resource and Computer Center Using a computer or seeing library information is as easy as a trip to the Scholars Information Center (SIC) in TUCC’s Library Resource and Computer Center. Students can establish an e-mail account or buy language tapes through the Center. The Center is also well equipped to service requests for audio-visual materials. The staff helps students in using the mainframe and personal computers, as well as conducting library research.
