From whom:
Generally 2-3 academic references are preferred. If only 2 academic references are provided, references from others (e.g., clinical supervisors) are required (if appropriate).

Statement of Goals:
A clearly written, well thought out Statement of Goals is preferred, approximately 1-2 pages in length.

Standardized Test Scores:
The GRE/MAT is required. Verbal score of 500 and Quantitative score of 500 on the GRE are preferred, but occasionally students with lower totals are accepted if undergraduate work and/or other life experiences suggest a high degree for probability of success in the graduate program.

Minimum TOEFL score or range of scores needed to be accepted:
575 on the paper-based test or 230 on the computer-based test. Applicants who score below 600 on the paper-based test or 250 on the computer-based test will be required to take and pass a remedial English course during their first semester at Temple University.

Interview:
An interview is scheduled at a mutually convenient time between the faculty interviewer(s) and the applicant. Master's applicants may interview by telephone if necessary (i.e., if an on-campus visit is difficult to arrange).

Resume:
A resume is required.
