Non Degree Students |
If you are interested in taking graduate courses but are not sure if you want to be in a degree program, Temple has some options for you.
If you have earned an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution you may take graduate courses for Personal/Professional Enrichment or in anticipation of applying to a graduate program. Students taking courses for these reasons are considered "non-matriculated," which simply means they are not enrolled in a degree program.
All non-matriculated students should contact the department in which the courses are offered or the Department of Continuing Education for academic advising and class availability. A number of courses are restricted by prerequisites, and some courses are restricted to degree seeking students or those in a particular major.
You will be permitted to take up to 9 credits before deciding on an option. When you have reached the 9-credit limit, you will be notified by the Graduate School and asked to fill out a form, stating your intent, before registering for additional classes.
If you are interested in taking classes as a non-degree (non-matriculated) student, please contact Temple University's Department of Continuing Education, as well as the department in which you're interested for more information.
