Tourism

The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management offers a M.T.H.M. in Tourism and Hospitality Management.  The degree provides a management background combined with industry-specific skills.  The program is designed for those already working in entry and mid-level tourism and tourism related positions who wish to advance to senior-level managers in tourism or hospitality settings.

The Program in Tourism and Hospitality Management requires either 30 semester-hours (thesis); 33 semester-hours (project); 36 semester-hours (comprehensive exam); or 39 semester-hours (practicum).  The program includes electives within the School, along with requiring outside electives from the Fox School of Business and Management.  All students complete an internship.  The internship program is one of the strongest in the country and is a key to Temple's successful placements.  Students attending full-time generally complete the degree in one calendar year or three semesters, and students attending part-time generally complete the degree in two calendar years.  The program is offered on the Main campus only.
