Systems Engineering
Systems Engineering Certificate introduces modern concepts of
control system design, analysis, and hardware implementation. Starting with the
mathematical tools for linear system analysis, the course sequence introduces the
participants to control system design methodologies in continuous time and discrete time
domain. On the hardware side, the topics include hardware realization of control
systems using microcontrollers, microcomputers, and PLSs.
The Certificate Program requires the successful completion of
three graduate level courses of nine semester hours. Credits earned in a certificate
program may be applied towards the completion of a Master's degree in the College of
Engineering.
In order to make the Certificate programs available to
practicing engineers, classes are scheduled in the evening, during the regular Fall and
Spring semesters at the Fort Washington campus of Temple University.
