Digital Signal Processing
The Professional Certificate in Digital Signal Processing
considers the filtering, modulation, and estimation of single and multidimensional
discrete signals. Application areas include speech and image compression and
recognition, digital radio, and detection of signals in the presence of noise.
The Certificate Program requires the successful completion of
three graduate level courses of nine semester hours. Credits earned in certificate
programs may be applied towards the completion of a Master's degree in the College of
Engineering.
In order to make the Certificate programs available to
practicing engineers, classes are scheduled in the evening, during the regular Fall and
Spring semesters at the Fort Washington campus.
