Fibers and Fabric Design
Tyler School of Art offers the Master of Fine Arts degree in
Fibers and Fabric Design. The M.F.A. program prepares graduates for careers as
professional artists, craftpersons, designers, and educators. The Master of Fine Arts
program is intended for a student whose work has achieved strong definition and who seeks
continued growth and education. The areas of study include traditional textile:
surface design and embellishment, weaving, off-loom and non-traditional areas where
personal work may have some basis in fiber materials or techniques.
The Master of Fine Arts is a two-year, 60 credit hour
program. Students are required to attend the program full-time. This program
is offered at the Tyler campus.
Tyler School of Art is an accredited member of the National
Association of Schools of Art and Design, National Architectural Accrediting Board, and
the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
