The Esther Boyer College of Music offers the Master of Music
degree in Choral Conducting. The degree prepares graduate students for successful
careers in choral music by providing the highest level of training in the many skills
required for the choral conductor, including technical, theoretical, analytical,
historical, linguistic, keyboard, and vocal skills. Graduate majors in the
department have opportunities to conduct one or more of the Temple Choirs and present
their own recitals with the Graduate Conductors' Chorus.
The Master of Music in Choral Conducting consists of 32 hours
of course work ordinarily taken over a period of two years. The program is currently
offered on the Main campus.
The Ester Boyer College of Music is accredited by the
National Association of Schools of Music.
