Cost analysis and control, accounting information systems, taxation, consolidated financial statements, and foreign operations also are covered, along with auditing techniques and an understanding of the ethical and performance standards of the profession. Accounting majors have the opportunity to join the Accounting Leadership Program (ALP). ALP students will be mentored by faculty and outside professionals, and will participate in other enrichment activities that prepare them to meet the hiring expectations and challenges of the top public accounting firms and leading industry employers. Students in the Accounting Leadership Program will enhance their professional development by building a sense of community among participants, and will improve career opportunities through increased knowledge of financial accounting, auditing and income taxation. Graduates of the Program will receive an Accounting Leadership Program certificate along with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.). For further information go to www.sbm.temple.edu/alp/.
