Upon enrolling in the College of Education, every student is assigned an academic advisor by the Advising Office. After students have been admitted to a Teacher Certification program, they are assigned a faculty advisor. It is strongly recommended that students meet with their advisors at least once each semester. Academic difficulties should be discussed immediately with one's advisor.
Academic Advisors attempt to avoid errors when advising students about their program requirements, but schools and colleges cannot assume liability for errors in advising. Therefore, students must assume primary responsibility for knowing the requirements for their degree and for acquiring current information about their academic status.
