The ArtsWorks of art - painting, sculpture, architecture, music, theater, dance, literature - are among the most significant representations of the cultures that produce them. Through the integration of intuitive and intellectual responses, students gain a sensitivity to the expressiveness of the Arts. Core Arts courses also suggest the wider implications of art in historical and social contexts. Requirement: One three-credit course from
this list. Note: Core courses no longer offered by departments have been removed from this list, but students who took them will receive Core credit, as indicated in their DARS document.
