Local industry leaders team up with IEI to launch “Emerging Business Series”
A consortium of industry leaders, in collaboration with The Fox School’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, have created an ongoing educational series for local businesses, starting on Tuesday, March 13, at Temple University’s Center City Campus, and continuing on the second Tuesday of each month. There is no cost for participation in the program.
The Emerging Business Series — “How-To Seminars for Today’s Business Builders” — is designed for business owners, CEOs and CFOs of small and mid-sized businesses, and for entrepreneurs looking to begin a business.
The series’ collaborators include Volpe and Koenig, PC, which will provide the legal perspective for the series, accounting firm Asher & Company, which will provide the accounting perspective , and the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union, which will present the banking perspective.
The first session in the series, on March 13, will feature an overview of the series, conducted by speakers from each of the EBS founders. During the program, attendees will provide feedback that organizers will use to shape topics beyond the first three months of the series. Future programs will also address topics including venture capital funding, real estate issues, marketing strategies and employment law concerns.
The free EBS programs will be held on the second Tuesday of each month, 8–10 a.m., at Temple University Center City, 1515 Market St. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served. Advanced registration is requested and available online, along with complete details on the program and faculty, at www.EmergingBusinessSeries.com.
