Temple University is transitioning operations of the university bookstore from Barnes & Noble to Follett Higher Education, an industry leader in collegiate retail. This transition will reimagine the bookstore and the resources and support provided to students, faculty and staff. It will begin this summer, with new Temple bookstores opening Monday, June 24, 2024, at Main Campus and the Health Sciences Center

The Follett bookstore will reopen in the current location on the lower level of the Howard Gittis Student Center. In fall 2025, it will relocate to the newly renovated Paley Hall on Main Campus.

The bookstore will offer an improved retail experience for the campus community as well as feature the materials, technology, apparel and accessories necessary for a successful campus and academic life. This new experience will also be extended to Temple’s online campus store, where you will have access to an expanded collection of merchandise and be able to purchase course materials from anywhere.

We encourage all students, faculty and staff to review the key dates of this transition below and check here often for important updates from the university. Responses to frequently asked questions are also provided.

If you have questions about the bookstore transition, contact the Office of Business Services at 215-204-3121 or email tuobs@temple.edu.

Reminder: Temple University’s Barnes & Noble bookstore website is temporarily unavailable as we prepare for the transition to Follett. Now through Monday, June 24, please email our Follett partners at 2360txt@follett.com to submit textbook and course material adoptions, or to check the status of previously submitted adoptions. Temple’s new bookstore website, temple.edu/bookstore, will launch with Follett on June 24.
