Office of Sustainability
Temple's Office of Sustainability is responsible for assessing the university's sustainability efforts, studying best practices and recommending tangible short- and long-term actions the university can take to promote environmental responsibility and pursue sustainable practices. The Environmental Health and Radiation Safety (EHRS) department ensures the safe use of radioactive materials, radiation-producing equipment, chemicals and biological substances at the university, the hospital and affiliated institutions. Learn more about EHRS.
The safety of our students and staff is a top priority. Our police division employs more than 130 sworn personnel. Our security division includes 63 Temple security officers, augmented by 250 full-time-equivalent security officers from a contracted security company. Learn more about campus safety at Temple.
