This service is temporarily relocated outside Room G14 in the ground floor of Paley. When dropping off, please bring all items in an envelope and drop them off with the adminstatior at the reception desk outside of Room G14 or drop them in the mail slot on the door of Room G08. When picking up, please ask the administrator at the reception desk outside Room G14 for assistance.

Drop off any time, Pick up during office hours:

Office hours have been adjusted to Monday through Friday, 9 am to 2 pm. If you would like to pick up exam materials, please come to the office during those hours. If you are unable to pick up during office hours, please contact our office at ira-exam-services@temple.edu or (215) 204-8611 for an appointment to pick up.  

When dropping off your exam materials for processing, please be sure to complete and submit a Classroom Examination Processing Request Form along with answer key and test sheets. If this is your first time using the service, you must also complete the EAS Application and provide a copy of your OWLCard. All items should be in one envelope and given to an administrator at the check in desk outside of Room G14 or placed in the mail slot on the door of Room G08.

Exams are usually processed in one business day from the time the exam is submitted, but may be ready in fewer than 24 hours. The status of each exam scoring job, the IAP report (in pdf format), summary Excel file and raw data file are available through IRA's Exam Access System (EAS) website. Please carefully review the Using IRA Exam Scoring Services document, which provides step-by-step instructions, scoring and report options, and general scoring policies. Classroom Exam Processing 

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (IRA) offers classroom examination scoring services to Temple University faculty. Request for exam processing may be dropped off in the mail slot of Room G07 any time. Please ensure materials are in an enveloped and dropped through the mail slot for security. Test data and answer keys must be submitted on IRA-approved optical scanning ("bubble") forms along with a Classroom Examination Processing Request form. 

 Faculty receive a detailed Item Analysis Package (IAP) report which includes a variety of statistical item and test measures, student listings and scoring options. Additionally, an Excel file containing summary data and a raw scan data text file are provided for each test.

Exams are usually processed in one business day from the time the exam is submitted, but may be ready in fewer than 24 hours. The status of each exam scoring job, the IAP report (in pdf format), summary Excel file and raw data file are available through IRA's Exam Access System (EAS) website. To sign up for EAS and receive your exam output via the web, complete an EAS application and dropoff the signed application and a copy of your OWLCard in the mail slot of Room G08.

Procedures for Health Science Campus

Instructors at the Health Sciences Campus (HSC) can make special arrangements to drop-off and pick-up classroom examinations at the School of Pharmacy, Office of the Dean, Room 148, 3307 North Broad Street. Instructors must complete a Classroom Examination Processing Request form and submit it with the exam materials. Exams will be collected from the Health Sciences Campus each weekday morning, and will be delivered to IRA by approximately 2:00 pm. IRA will process the exams as quickly as possible, but cannot guarantee the exact return time at HSC. The classroom exam answer sheets and exam results are considered secure, confidential documents. Special arrangements have been made to transport the materials between the School of Pharmacy and IRA. IRA and the School of Pharmacy cannot, however, be responsible for delays, loss, or inconvenience that might arise circumstances beyond our control.

Procedures for Ambler Campus

Instructors at the Ambler Campus can make special arrangements with Academic Services at (267) 468-8260 to drop-off and pick-up classroom examinations in West Hall, Room 102. This service requires that the instructor completes a Classroom Examination Processing Request form and submits this form with the exam materials.
Exams will be collected from the Ambler Campus once a day, usually in the morning, and delivered to IRA. IRA staff will process the exams as quickly as possible, but cannot guarantee the exact return time at Ambler.
The classroom exam answer sheets and exam results are considered secure, confidential documents. Special arrangements have been made to transport the materials between the Ambler Campus and IRA. IRA and the Ambler Campus drop-off site cannot, however, be responsible for delays, loss, or inconvenience that might arise from circumstances beyond our control.
