Admission Requirements and Deadlines
Application Deadline:
Fall: June 15
Spring: November 15

Applications are processed as they are received throughout the year.
Letters of Reference:
Number Required: 2
From Whom: It is preferred that letters of recommendation come from work supervisors and/or past coworkers who have worked extensively with the applicant. College/university faculty members familiar with academic competence may also be used.
Coursework Required for Admission Consideration:
Although no specific coursework is required, applicants to the Executive M.B.A. Program typically have 7-10 years of work experience with 5-7 years of managerial experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline:
A bachelor's degree, not necessarily in a business discipline, is required.
Statement of Goals:
Applicants for the E.M.B.A. Program are expected to submit a Statement of Goals that describes future objectives in specific terms without use of generalizations. The Statement of Goals should address how the E.M.B.A. degree will assist the applicant in achieving her/his goals.
Standardized Test Scores:
To be considered for the Executive M.B.A. Program, GMAT scores should not be under 550. Applicants scoring less than 550 are encouraged to re-take the GMAT to be considered for admission. Waivers may apply in very specific cases.
TOEFL Score Report:
An official TOEFL score is required of all non-native speakers of English unless they have completed a college or graduate program whose medium of instruction is English in one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom, or United States. The minimum TOEFL score needed to be accepted: 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, or 79 internet-based. The test score is valid if it was received within the last two years. The last possible test date is approximately one month prior to each application deadline. The test date of your TOEFL must be indicated on the application form. The code for reporting to Temple University Japan is 9698. Information and registration for the TOEFL test is available at: http://www.ets.org/toefl/.
The IELTS (academic test only) is also accepted. A minimum score of 6.5 is required.
TOEIC, institutional TOEFL, or any other English-language ability test is not acceptable.
Interview:
An interview is required of all applicants. Once your application is complete, the program office will contact you to set up the interview. Telephone interviews are available for those living far from Tokyo. This interview is designed to determine if a candidate meets the minimal requirements for admission.
Resume:
A resume is required.
Test Waivers:
The GMAT may be waived for applicants with a J.D., M.D., or other doctoral degree. It may also be waived based on level of work experience and undergraduate GPA.

Internship: No internship is required.
Language Examination: No language examination is required.
Culminating Events:
Capstone Course Sequence:
Students are required to successfully complete the capstone course sequence. The purpose of the capstone sequence is to ensure that E.M.B.A. candidates have mastered the skills necessary to conduct business analyses. The capstone sequence is graded in the normal manner by the instructor.

About the Program
The Fox School of Business and Management offers M.B.A. programs that help develop a solid understanding of business models created by the synergistic forces of globalization, entrepreneurship, and information technology. Our approach to graduate education helps develop practical expertise through case analysis, presentations, interaction with business practitioners, and team projects. The Fox School prepares students to step immediately into key management roles in highly specialized fields. The Fox School is the region's second largest business graduate school with over 1,300 students studying in 16 areas of concentration, including the region's second oldest Executive M.B.A. Program.
Time Limit for Degree Completion: 4 years
Campus Location:
Temple University Japan is located in the Minami Azabu and Mita districts in central Tokyo.
Full-Time/Part-Time Status:
Students are required to complete the degree program through classes offered in 5-week modules on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Interdisciplinary Study:
Students in the Executive M.B.A. Program do not have an area of concentration. Instead, they receive the breadth and depth required to succeed as an executive.

Areas of Specialization:
The TUJ Executive M.B.A. Program focuses on helping its students develop leadership and communication skills in a global business environment. In addition to offering a course in international business, the Program emphasizes the international dimension of the specific disciplines it covers.
