Admission Requirements and Deadlines
Application Deadline:
Fall: June 1 [December 15 for international applicants]
Spring: October 1 [August 1 for international applicants]

Applications are processed on a semi-rolling basis.
Letters of Reference:
Number Required: 3
From Whom: Letters of recommendation should be obtained from college/university faculty members familiar with the applicant's academic competence and professionals in a supervisory position.
Coursework Required for Admission Consideration:
It is recommended that applicants should have completed a minimum of two years of General Chemistry, including Organic Chemistry; one Analytical Chemistry course; and Mathematics, including at least Introductory Calculus. A course in Physical Chemistry is also advisable.
Bachelor's Degree in Discipline/Related Discipline:
A baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is required.
Statement of Goals:
The Statement of Goals should be approximately 500-1,000 words and should include the following elements: your interest in Temple's program; your research goals; your future career goals; and your academic and research achievements.
Standardized Test Scores:
The GRE is required. The GRE scores should be no lower than the 50th percentile on both the quantitative and verbal sections.
Minimum TOEFL score or range of scores needed to be accepted:
600 paper-based, 250 computer-based, or 100 internet-based.
Resume:
A resume is required.
Transfer Credit:
With approval, courses related to pharmaceutics may be transferred in. Applicants must present supporting documentation (syllabus, course description, transcript) for transfer consideration at the time of application. The maximum number of credits a student may transfer into the M.S. program is 6.

About the Program
The School of Pharmacy offers a graduate program leading to the M.S. (both thesis and non-thesis options) and the Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The program is designed to prepare students for positions in the pharmaceutical industry and government agencies.
Time Limit for Degree Completion: 3 years
Campus Location:
Fort Washington, Health Sciences
Students may take a majority of required and elective courses at Fort Washington. Several courses may be offered at the Health Sciences campus.
Full-Time/Part-Time Status:
The Non-Thesis M.S. is considered a part-time program. Students may complete the degree program through classes offered during evenings and weekends primarily at the Fort Washington campus.

The program encourages interdisciplinary coursework, research, and collaborations among faculty and students with interests in Organic Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Modeling.
