Statement
of Goals:
The Statement of Goals should include the following elements:
your specific interest in Tyler's program, research goals, future career goals, and academic and artistic achievements.
Standardized
Test Scores:
Minimum TOEFL score or range of scores needed to be accepted: 575 on the paper-based test or 230 on the computer-based test. Applicants who score below 600 on the paper-based test or 250 on the computer-based test will be required to take and pass a remedial English course during their first semester at Temple University.
Portfolio:
Twenty slides of original work specific to the Graphic Design discipline. CDroms, diskettes, website addresses or links are not accepted in lieu of the slide portfolio. Slides must be accompanied by a sturdy, self-addressed, stamped envelope or they will not be returned.
Resume:
A resume is required.

Transfer Credit
Upon approval of the appropriate department chairperson and the Associate Dean, up to nine credits of post-graduate work completed within a five year deadine may be transferred into the MFA program as art history or studio electives. No decisions are made concerning transfer credits until students have successfully completed 15 matriculated credit hours at Tyler.
