Mass Media and Communication ,
PHD
The Ph.D. in Mass Media and Communication (MM&C) offers a comprehensive curriculum built on a broadly conceived foundation of communication theory and research methods. The curriculum is developed around introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses largely oriented toward two basic areas of study.
A member of the MM&C faculty mentors each Ph.D. student through an individualized course of study in one or a combination of areas of research and scholarship. There are typically opportunities for the interested doctoral student to participate in research and publication projects with individual faculty members.
