MFA
The graduate program in Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM is a two-year, 60-credit hour program leading to the Master of Fine Arts Degree. The program targets four areas of endeavor: artistic development, preparation for college teaching, designing for industry, and developing entrepreneurial skills.
The MFA program prepares graduates for careers as professional artists, craftspersons, designers, and educators.
Our nationally recognized faculty bring to the program a reputation for excellence in teaching with a wide range of attitudes and philosophic positions that is complemented by an extensive schedule of visiting artists and critics. The students can also draw from the cultural resources of Philadelphia and the nearby art centers of New York and Washington, DC.

Graduate students in the Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM area utilize traditional materials as well as the latest technologies and materials in the field. The faculty, all recognized professionals in the field, recognize that many graduate students expect to go on to college teaching. Therefore, you will find that emphasis is placed on preparing you for an academic career. This preparation includes introduction to CAD-CAM and other digital technologies such as web page design and digital photography.
