Program Requirements

Finance, MS

Campus Location:
Center City, Fort Washington

The business foundation classes are offered at both campuses throughout the year. Upper-level courses are not offered at all campuses. Courses are also offered on-line.

Full-time/Part-time Status
Students are required to complete the degree program through classes offered after 4:30 p.m.

General Program Requirements:

Required Courses:
Foundation Courses: ACCT 401 Fundamentals of Accounting, ECON 403 Economic Analysis, FIN 401 Financial Management of Business, STAT 402 Statistical Analysis. Advanced Curriculum - Finance Electives (Choose six or seven of the following Finance Electives): FIN 501 Financial Markets, FIN 518 Options and Futures Markets, FIN 506 Management of Financial Institutions, FIN 521 Investment Management, FIN 510 Financial Analysis and Planning, FIN 535 International Financial Markets, FIN 511 Asset Management for Business, FIN 536 International Corporate Finance, FIN 512 Capital Structure of Business, FIN 566 Financing the Growth of New Economy Companies, FIN 515 Portfolio Theory and Capital Markets, FIN 598/99 Independent Study. Business Electives: Choose three or four 500-level Business Electives from Accounting, Economics, or Statistics.
