Letters of recommendation should be obtained from college/university faculty members familiar with your academic competence; a member of the health care community who can attest to your interest in occupational therapy; or others who know your work ethic or character.
Statement
of Goals:
The statement of goals should be at least a one page essay describing your reasons for choosing a career in Occupational Therapy.
Standardized
Test Scores:
The GRE/MAT is required. 50% range on two out of the three sections on the GRE (verbal, quantitative, and analytic) or 50% range on the MAT. Applicants who score below the 50th percentile, yet demonstrate ability to do graduate work, may be considered.Minimum TOEFL score or range of scores needed to be accepted:
600 on paper-based or 250 on computer-based version of TOEFL.
Interview:
All applicants who meet the minimum admission criteria will be invited to interview with a member of the Admissions Committee. The Department will schedule individual interviews.
Resume:
A resume is required.
Other:
Applicants must submit an Academic Information/Prerequisite Checklist form included with the Graduate Application. The Graduate Application packet is available on request from the Department of Occupational Therapy. The Academic Information/Prerequisite Checklist form is also available through the O.T. Department website (www.temple.edu/ot). This form should be sent directly to the Occupational Therapy Department if an applicant applies through the Graduate School On-Line Application process.
