The Master of Science in Education is available for students who are already certified and/or have a master's degree. It is a graduate level teacher enhancement program for certified B.S./B.A./Ed.M. professionals seeking to upgrade their content area and/or develop new skills leading to educational opportunities such as: master/lead teacher, curriculum developer, peer counselor, and/or instructional/team leader. The M.S. in Ed. is an advanced degree, preparing professionals for higher level positions within the school system and/or a more in-depth knowledge of one's field.

Students are able to complete the degree program through classes offered after 4:30 p.m. Students able to complete the degree program on a part-time basis (8 credit hours or less per semester).

CITE also offers a general option in the M.S. in Ed. which allows the department and students to design specialized programs within the discipline and to provide specialized programs requested by neighboring school districts and individual students.
