Students are able to complete the degree program through classes offered after 4:30 p.m.

Foreign Language Ed FL. Ed 610 (If a student already has a background in linguistics this course may not be required. Decisions about this will be made by the advisor after examining the student's records and discussing the decision with the student). FL Ed 612 FL Ed 614 FL Ed 616 FL Ed. 618 FL Ed. 620

Six semester hours from the following list: English Ed 621 English Ed 622 English Ed 651 Ed 401 Secondary Ed. 371 and 2 TESOL courses.

Culminating Exam

  • Comprehensive Exam Description - The Master's Comprehensive is intended to allow the student to demonstrate a breadth and depth of knowledge in the core areas of English Ed and TESOL.
  • Comprehensive Exam Subject - English Ed and TESOL.
  • Comprehensive Exam Complete - The comprehensive examination is taken after the coursework has been completed.
  • Comprehensive Exam Write - All faculty members associated with this program collectively write and grade the comprehensive exam.
  • Comprehensive Exam Grade - Faculty members separately grade each comprehensive examination using a scale of Pass or Fail. All tests are graded anonymously.
  • Comprehensive Exam Pass - The grades from all faculty members are collected. If there is a wide variation among the scores, the faculty will discuss the performance. All pass/fail decisions are made anonmously.
  • Comprehensive Exam Schedule - The comprehensive exam is given twice each year: in November and April. the exam is administered on Saturday. The specific date for the exam will be provided to the students when they apply to take the exam.
