Program Requirements

Healthcare Financial Management, MS

Campus Location:
Center City, Fort Washington

The business foundation classes are offered at both campuses throughout the year. Upper-level courses are not offered at all campuses. Courses are also offered on-line.

Full-time/Part-time Status
Students are required to complete the degree program through classes offered after 4:30 p.m.

General Program Requirements:

Required Courses:
Curriculum: 10 courses / 30 Semester Hours HM 501 Health Systems Organization; HM 502 Management of Healthcare Organizations; HM 503/FIN 516 Financial Management of Healthcare Organizations; ACCT 551 Medicare and third-party reimbursement; Select One (3 s.h.) - FIN 510 Financial Analysis & Planning or FIN 511 Asset Management or FIN 512 Capital Structure. Four Electives (12 s.h.)in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Healthcare or Risk Management (nb: the electives selected must be approved by the MS Healthcare Finance program director. One elective will be replaced by a new course, "Advanced Healthcare Financial Management" in 2002). HM 596 Thesis Seminar in Healthcare Finance.
