Required Courses:
A student must complete an independent project, CE795, Research Project, towards completion of the MSE.
The MSE degree in the Project track requires completion of a total of 27 s.h. of graduate level courses and a research project. The coursework includes 12 s.h. of core courses in the student's area of specialization, and another 15 s.h. of elective courses in engineering and approved courses in science, business management, and mathematics. Further details of course requirements can be obtained from the Program Director.

Event Description - Students in the non-thesis track are required to complete an independent research project, and submit a report towards the requirements of CE795, Research Project.Event Philosophy - The goal of the Research Project is to evaluate the student's ability to perform independent research in analysis and design of an engineering application. The topic for research is selected after discussion between the student and the faculty advisor. The scope of research is carefully outlined to allow the student to complete the research in one semester.Event Process - After completion of the research, the student submits a final resport detailing the findings of the research and presents it at an open seminar. The report is evaluated by two members of the faculty, including the academic advisor.
