Electrical Engineering, MSE

(Concentration: Project Track)

Main Campus, Fort Washington

Full-time/Part-time Status
Students are able to complete the degree program through classes offered after 4:30 p.m.

General Program Requirements:

Number of Didactic credits required beyond the Baccalaureate:
27

Required Courses:
To complete the MSE degree, a total of 27 s.h. of graduate courses, plus EE795, Research Project, are required.

Students must complete any two core courses out of the following courses: ENGR541, ENGR511, EE502, EE500, and EE551. Students must not take more than three 400 level courses.

  • Event Description - Research Project.
  • Event Philosophy - Students in the Project track are required to perform independent research and submit a report towards the requirements of EE795, Research Project. The goal of the Research Project is to evaluate the student's ability to perform independent research in analysis and design of an engineering application. The topic for research is selected after discussion between the student and a faculty advisor. The scope of research is carefully outlined so as to allow the student to complete the research in one semester.
  • Event Process - At the completion of the research, the student submits a final report detailing the findings of the research and presents it at an open seminar. The report is evaluated by two faculty members including the academic advisor.
