Horace Mann Bond - Leslie Pinckney Hill Scholarship
The Horace Mann Bond - Leslie Pickney Hill Scholarship provides full scholarships for
medical, dental, or law school education at Temple University, Pennsylvania State
University, and the University of Pittsburgh to eligible graduates of Lincoln
University and Cheyney University of Pennsylvania.
Eligibility Requirements
- Candidates must be seniors at Lincoln University or Cheyney University
of
Pennsylvania or recent graduates of these universities and accepted as a full-time
student in a professional program of law, medicine, or dentistry at the University of
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania State University or Temple University.
- Candidates must be citizens of the United States.
- Candidates must be nominated by Lincoln University of Cheyney University
of
Pennsylvania.
- Candidates must demonstrate high academic performance and maintain satisfactory
progress.
Award Procedures
Students shall receive a commitment of financial support up to a maximum of four
academic years, based upon satisfactory performance. Scholarship awards will be
applied toward tuition and tuition required fees. The program can support a maximum
of 40 full-time scholarships. Awards will be prioritized as follows:
- Students who have been deemed eligible and have graduated in the previous academic
semester.
- Alumni of Lincoln University or Cheyney University of Pennsylvania who
have been
deemed eligible and who have graduated within the past three academic years of
application.
Funding Level
Students will be funded at a level to cover full tuition and required fees, subject to
the continued appropriation of the Pennsylvania State Legislature.
