Biographical Sketch

Chang-Hee Won graduated from American International High School in Vienna, Austria , and received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, USA. 

After graduating from the university, he worked at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute as a Senior Research Engineer in the Department of Satellite Communications Systems.  There, he worked in the area of control and navigation systems.   Dr. Won moved to Temple University in 2005. During his tenure, he taught eight different electrical engineering courses, worked on two large NASA remote sensing projects, received the Pennsylavania Department of Health grant, received Department of Defense research grants, and obtained National Science Foundation grants.  Currently, he is an associate professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Temple University.

His research interests include sensors, stochastic optimal control theory, and tactile sensing systems.  He has authored more than thirty peer-reviewed journal papers and presented more than fifty papers at international conferences.  He is an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, American Society of Engineering Education, Eta Kappa Nu, SPIE, BME, IEEE Control Systems Society, and IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society.
