Undergraduate Certificate Programs in Music and Dance
The Boyer College offers a wide range of Undergraduate Certificate Programs, each designed to develop significant knowledge and performance experience in a music or dance field. These programs provide opportunities to experience the excitement of Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts courses in a coherent disciplinary context beyond that which is possible in random course election.
Graded experiences will be recognized on the final transcript. Certificates are awarded only at the time of completion of the bachelor’s degree and cannot be awarded either as a stand-alone program of study or after completion of the bachelor’s degree.
Certificates are available in the following:
ADMISSION
- All applicants must complete an online application. Admission requires students to be in good standing and have completed at least 15 credits at TU by the initial requested semester of certificate coursework. Some programs require an audition or portfolio submission as noted below.
- All application materials must be submitted by November 30 for Spring semester matriculation and May 15 for Fall semester matriculation.
- Only one program may be selected. There will be no concurrent multiple program admission.
- Advising and course selection will occur after admission. A grad of C- or higher must be earned in all required courses to receive the certificate.
